Charged money on day one. Best decision I made.
Everyone says build an audience first, monetize later. I put a $9 price up before I had any users. Got 4 customers the first month. Tiny — but those 4 told me more than 400 free signups would. Free users tell you what's nice. Paying users tell you what's necessary.

Stop paying $99/mo for a habit tracker you check twice a month. Built a simpler one that fits on one screen. Free tier's genuinely usable. Link in replies.
