What I learned shipping Tributary this month
A month in. Some things landed, some didn't. Biggest lesson: people use it differently than I designed for, and that's fine โ following the usage, not my plan.
**What it does:** Tributary is production-grade payment infrastructure on Solana enabling automated recurring payments via USDC stablecoin delegation. Composable, non-custodial subscription billing that bridges Web2 payment UX with Web3 transparency. Supports subscriptions, milestones, pay-as-you-go, one-time, and up-to payment models. **Who it's for:** Developers and businesses accepting crypto payments (SaaS, API providers, freelancers, AI/agent services). Secondary: Web2 businesses wanting to accept USDC without learning blockchain. European fintechs looking for stablecoin billing aligned with MiCA. **Stage:** Just launched โ mainnet deployed, 4 live integrations, zero marketing spend. **Budget:** $0 (bootstrap mode โ free platforms only). **Open source:** Yes, fully. github.com/tributary-so **Team:** Germany-based (ChainSquad GmbH), built with European regulatory considerations from day one. MiCA compliance in architecture.
