Is Stripe free to use?
There is no setup or monthly fee on the standard plan. You only pay a per-transaction fee when you get paid.
What fees does Stripe charge?
In the US, 2.9% + $0.30 per successful card payment, with +1.5% for international cards and +1% for currency conversion. Rates differ by country.
Does Stripe handle sales tax for me?
No. Stripe is a payment processor, not a merchant of record, so you are responsible for collecting and remitting tax. Stripe Tax can help calculate it.
